Flu
My week in HQ was productive and entertaining as always but when I returned back to homeland, the flu took me down like an eagle-eyed sniper. I'm certain I've slept more in 6 days than I have in 6 months yet still feel exhausted. Thankfully, there's a light emerging at the end of the tunnel and I'm starting to feel a bit better. The flu sucks - in case you have any doubts

Literature
During my medication induced fog, I felt it appropriate to start plotting out the changes to the structure of the literature gallery as suggested by the community and let me say the final product looks cleaner, logical and exciting! The challenge is the current complicated structure of the gallery and morphing that into the new awesome version with the least amount of pain and suffering inflicted on the community. By next week I intend to have a plan on how to face this challenge and I'll be explaining in detail what's going to happen so as not to take the community by surprise. Keep an eye on this journal and #

Anarchy
My plane leaving LA was scheduled for 8am on Saturday so I got to LAX around 6am, checked in and cleared security and began my quest for coffee. I headed to the Starbucks, ordered a coffee and then took a seat and opened up my laptop. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a guy wearing a Sons of Anarchy hoodie and thought.. "man.. I totally want an SoA hoodie" and then went back to work. The guy sat down at the table beside me and it dawned on me, this wasn't just any guy, this was Kim Coates from Sons of Anarchy!
Now if you're Canadian, you may not have a clue what I'm talking about so I direct you to wikipedia to read about the show called
Sons of Anarchy. Unfortunately, it isn't broadcast in the frosty north anymore (it used to be on Superchannel) however, I have it on good authority that they're trying to get the show on Bravo or Showtime. I hope they do! In the meantime, I have my ways of getting my fix

but enough about that! on with my story!
I'm not generally a fan girl except in very rare cases and I'm so in love with this show, and Kim's psychopathic character, I really wanted his autograph. Unfortunately - he was on the move! I figured I'd find my gate and maybe he'd be around there and I could give it a shot. As luck would have it, he was heading to Toronto to, so I sidled up to him and took a seat and asked him if I could trouble him for an autograph.
His response was great 'Why would you want my autograph!?" I replied that I loved the show and Tigs was an incredible character and thus opened the door for some conversation. He wrote out an autograph for me and chattered about the show and I took the opportunity to quickly do some fan art searches on deviantART. He asked me what I was doing in LA and that was my cue! I proceeded to introduce him to all of you

the deviantART community, what we were about and showed him the fan art I'd found and showed him how to do searches for other artwork - he was in love with you guys pretty quickly and asked for my card so he could check out the site when he got to Toronto. We talked for about 15 minutes before the plane boarded and bid farewell to each other to get on the plane. It was a pretty cool experience

I was looking forward to sharing the story with *
gimp who was picking me up at the airport and I was really itching to get home so I guess I was bouncing a bit at baggage claim waiting for my suitcase to appear when someone came up behind me and said "You look like you're about to work out" and when I turned around it was Kim. We chatted a bit more waiting for our luggage and then he gave me a hug and I headed for home.
Granted when I got home, I got sick so if you hear there's a delay in the production of the next Resident Evil due to the flu... it could be my fault :/ (Sorry Kim!)
